The House

Yay for my first post on the blog! Yes I really did just congratulate myself. This has been a lot of work (mostly brain power thinking of how I want to do this) and well I was going to say tears, but I haven’t cried yet. I’ll save the tears for a later post.

I figured since this website is mainly about this beautiful home in St. George, Utah, I should write my first post about the house. I’ve added some humor throughout. Why make a house post boring?

The house was built 3 years ago. Thank goodness we survived it’s terrible 2’s, the most difficult of the toddler age. Now we are halfway through year 4 and COVID-19 makes the terrible 2’s seem like an angel.

We selected a 4 bedroom, 3.25 bath home during the building process. I’ll share some of our building stories in another post. We redesigned a couple of the spaces to fit our family, and those that would hopefully stay, a lot better. The upstairs master bathroom was one of those redesigns. We changed the layout and designed a bigger shower for the space.

Below you’ll find more detailed descriptions of each space, plus a little extra.

Bedrooms (Sleep 12-14):

You’re going to have tons of fun during your stay, but will really need to catch up on some zzz’s. Paradise Found St. George has:

  • 2 Master Bedrooms: one is on the lower level, the other is upstairs. Each one has a spacious King bed. Slightly different comfort levels for each, but just like Goldilocks you’ll find the right one. Master bedrooms also have their own TV’s, walk-in closets, and bathrooms. As it should be, right?

  • 2 Additional Bedrooms: both located on the upper level. King beds are big, but they won’t quite fit everyone. However, there are 2 additional rooms, each has 2 Queen beds. That way everyone can enjoy their own space. Being uncomfortable is the worst, especially during vacation. These rooms also have their own smart tvs, and bluray players.

Bathrooms:

  • Main Level Master Bath: after a long day of exploring soak in the deep tub in the main floor master bathroom. This bathroom also has double sinks, and a standing shower. Yes, of course there is a toilet also, it’s a bathroom after all.

  • Upper Level Master Bath: this master bath doesn’t have a large tub, but it does have a large walk in shower. Thanks to that redesign I mentioned above.

  • Upper Level Bathroom: not everyone can share the 2 master bathrooms, so there is another bathroom upstairs they can share. This one is just a basic bathroom. One sink, toilet, and a tub/shower combo.

  • Main Level Half Bath: located by the garage and laundry room is a half bath, for when you don’t need a shower.

Food:

  • Gourmet Kitchen: Isn’t someone always hungry? The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked with a: Kitchen Aid, Coffee Maker, Waffle Maker, and lots more (this list is really long. I’ll devote a whole post to it). Kids items are also provided. Enjoy your vacation, don’t worry about the kids breaking a plate.

Entertainment:

  • Main Level: right off the kitchen is a family room with a Smart TV. Log into your Netflix and enjoy movies. Just don’t Netflix too much, or you’ll miss out on all the fun things to do around St. George.

  • Upper Level: the loft upstairs is a great place to sit and watch shows. The closet has card games and other board games. If you wanna earn some money back from your family and friends, pull out the poker chips, and finally get paid back for all those loans you’ve provided them.

  • Pickle Ball: the community has a pickle ball court. Paddles and balls are provided. They are located in the laundry room.

  • Pool: the community has a pool. There are pool towels, so you don’t have to pack extra stuff.

Laundry:

  • Washer and dryer: just in case you stain your favorite shirt and don’t want to loose it. Throw it in the wash and hope for the best. Tide pods are also provided.

Outdoor:

  • Off the back of the house is outdoor seating with a grill. It’s a great place to eat dinner.

  • The upstairs master bedroom, and additional room, share a balcony seating area. Which is a great place to relax and watch the sunset.

  • Upstairs off the front of the house is a large seating area, with views of the golf course. This is a great place to spend time in the evenings, or catch the sunrise in the morning.
